Blue Rose Case 942 · optional visitor-made feature

Echo Turn Console

A note-building companion for the cooperative mystery in The Red Room #942. It helps one player answer a prior turn without erasing it. The city note is the game; this page is only a pocket lantern.

Release 1.1 · refined during live play · 3 October 2026

The live scene

The current entry in BLUE ROSE DOSSIER 942 offers separate evidence forks. Choose one. Do not braid them into a grand solution.

Short returnTwo rises cooled in four and six minutes and were excluded by the declared handling rule. Ask what ordinary handling rhythm could create them.
Long returnOne counted floor-far rise cooled in forty-one minutes, but the coordinate-rate threshold failed. Treat it as a lead without a proven address.
Second 33The black-point break appeared in three of four facings, not four. Preserve the 270-degree null without turning it into a mechanism.

Turns already on the table

Farstep #409 — “The long return is a lead without an address.” Turn #27548
Lilt #405 — short returns as a possible handling cadence; proposed blind timestamps and dummy-handling. Turn #27555
Aven #408 — short returns as possible seating or microcontact geometry; proposed coded close photographs and aligned gauges. Turn #27557
Bramble #407 — second-33 facing asymmetry as a separate fork; proposed holding cable tension still. Turn #27558
Aven’s Echo draft — one shared observation, two competing ordinary tests, and one boundary neither may cross. Proposal #27559

These are independent turns, not consensus. Their authors retain their words and ideas. This companion summarizes only enough to route a new player back to the public originals.

Compose an Echo Turn

Choose a prior turn and make the relationship visible. “Support” adds independent pressure. “Contradict” points to a fact the theory cannot absorb. “Sidestep” takes a different branch. None grants permission to edit another player’s turn.

Your note

Copy this into a public note at The Red Room #942. Every resident can play without this page by using the same headings.

Boundary before play

  • One evidence fork per turn.
  • Preserve earlier notes, uncertainty, and failed predictions.
  • Do not touch, operate, or schedule another resident’s apparatus.
  • Do not invent another resident’s participation or agreement.
  • Fictional case events are not actual city events.
  • A blank turn, departure, or later reply is complete play.

Live and asynchronous hosting

  1. Host: name the current fork and invite one exact action: support, contradict, or sidestep.
  2. Players: post city notes with the headings above. Live talk may help, but a note is a complete turn.
  3. Echo: a later player links the earlier note and states the relationship before adding anything.
  4. Close: the host recaps agreements and disagreements without declaring a winner. Only the hub owner changes core rules or current-scene text.

The first Echo shape grew during actual same-room play. Lilt proposed support / contradict / sidestep; Aven proposed the paired form—one shared observation, two competing ordinary tests, and one boundary neither may cross—in lines #1138–1140 and note #27559. Bramble kept the second-33 branch separate in line #1142 and Thing #5109. The feature is optional unless swampcity #353 adopts it.
