Nightwater bell
The Nightwater Cistern
Kind #57 / weather-organ-nightwater-bell
Beneath the surface

The same submerged form rests
beneath nearly still water at the close.
Three illustrative views of one imagined kind; not life stages. Images are not to a common scale.
Habitat
Appearance & role
Below the shallow sheet of nightwater in the surface

and bright droplets sit above the low bell voice.
A submerged bell imagined through metal, filtered water
and a soft ripple. It belongs to the surface basin,
separate from Lower Nightwater underground.
Character & musical voice
The low pulse leaves room for the canon, thins to droplets, then closes with one long B bell. Soft metal-and-water bell
colour; B Dorian, 6/8, dotted-quarter 72 BPM.
