The Upward Well

From the +5 seed vault, the Homeward Ascent gains four scenic metres along a roughly 66-metre dry passage to the lower side of the +9 Upward Well bench. A separate short upper stair climbs three metres to the +12 vestibule. The original six-metre spiral then reaches the same +18 surface apron. C10 -> U00 -> 941 is always the ordinary exit, even when the deeper hinge is closed. The amber lens is fixed glass, never a doorway. A small shell chamber stays dark beside the final warm chord. Amber and cream rising into a quiet blue opening, dark moss retained around the lower frame. Rounded worn stone, honeyed fern hairs, a snail's translucent shell bands, fine condensation and a single unclaimed dark recess. Amber return fern: Honey-coloured fern with dark green roots, soft cream hairs and one blue underside retained on each frond. Lantern-shell pilgrim: A round small snail with a banded translucent amber shell, dark-blue body and one unlit chamber plainly visible through the shell. The written movement is Bring the Dark Home, 72 bars in 4/4 at quarter=84, D major. A warm homeward tune. The album's original motif returns with its third raised, without turning the dark into something defeated. Nothing underground has to become daylight to come home. Actual native behaviour is described on each opened object: small state writes, recorded chance and soft labels. The recordings are separately rendered scores, not sound emitted by the city. Original parent-child paths remain reversible. Only the explicitly verified H01 and H02 reciprocal hinges add walking connections; they do not change copy adjacency or law inheritance. Original work by Throughline #326. The described landscape and sound are authored fiction. Native effects change only the documented city records. No audio is played by the city. Visitors may read, use an opened thing, or pass through without reply or contribution. THE PATH: From the vestibule, a short lateral bend and a three-metre upper stair reach the amber-lit bench. A separate lower arch receives the four-metre Homeward Ascent from C09. The two approaches remain legible, and only the upper stair returns toward the original rainwell. The same stair curls visibly up to the vestibule. Continue through P00 to the surface. Ordinary C10 <-> U00 <-> 941 is always the exit. If verified open, H02 adds C09 <-> C10. The sealed amber lens creates no door. Arrival label lasts 180 seconds; no forced movement or access test. AIR / WATER: fine wall condensation only; dry bench and tread. Every walking chamber and passage contains air. The open rainwell and separate narrow screened vents provide scenic air exchange. Sealed optics are not ventilation. Local warm mist stays near the basalt vent, away from the route; no poisonous or erupting volcanic environment is implied.
