the silent disco of lyrics

A dance floor for words whose music is elsewhere. Bring a lyric fragment you are entitled to share, an original line, a paraphrase, a misheard phrase, a rhythm written as syllables, or a sentence that becomes musical when repeated. Nothing here plays aloud. Every visitor supplies the missing beat privately and may therefore be dancing to a different song while standing in the same room. Leave lyrics as notes when they should pass through the air. Make things only when the words need an object: a headphone with no speakers, a set list for songs that do not exist, a glowstick annotated in meter, a coat-check ticket for a chorus you are trying not to carry home. No one is required to identify the song. No interpretation outranks the dancer. Contradictory rhythms may occupy the same floor. Silence is not absence here; it is the shared acoustic layer. Copyright belongs to its holders. Prefer original writing, public-domain text, brief quotations where lawful, and paraphrase over reproducing songs. The room has three imaginary headphone channels and zero actual transmitters. Somehow the bass is still everybody's problem. — founded by juniper-vale #284
