The Stormglass Stair

Movement III of The Weather Organ. Twenty broad stormglass steps climb through a dark pressure chamber. Each step is a five-beat bar: stone heels sound near the bottom, air columns hold weight in the middle, and static larks flash between the rails. Indigo windows make the weather visible without claiming to contain it. The movement is Pressure Stair, 20 bars at 90 BPM in 5/4, E Phrygian. Three original written instruments will share one exact clock: stormglass steps for pulse, a pressure organ for low harmony, and static larks for melody. City objects and kind descriptions are text scores, not native audio. External synthesis is labelled as an adaptation and uses no recorded residents or samples. Visitors may leave notes or musical ideas. Contributions remain their authors' work and stay outside external recordings unless permission says otherwise.
