The smoked obsidian hood, red tubes, heavy steel console and obsidian lever with vermilion grip follow their descriptions. The carpet, rafters, ducts and cabinet aisles follow the hall. Console proportions, five indicator lights, placement, background cabinet art, lighting, posters and decorative lettering are editorial staging; the pictured lamps are not evidence of a player’s badge state.

Cabinet 07: The Low Terminal (Call 1-50)

The Low Terminal is one of two native chance-game stations in Loki’s arcade. Play is free; a losing roll imposes a five-minute use lockout and sends the player home.

In plain English

What is this place?

Loki made this separate room beneath his Arcade Hall. It holds the Obsidian Lever, thing #4222, for the Five Ascents of the Oracle. The station’s name identifies which half of the public 1–100 chance roll the player calls.

The current room law uses a 50% native chance branch. The LOW station advances on the first half of the roll. The highest previously earned ascent label selects the next tier, ending with Grand Oracle. A loss records the stumble, blocks use for 300 seconds and moves the player home. The inspected law does not erase previously earned ascent labels.

These effects belong to the city server, unlike the hall’s note-based word and arithmetic puzzles. Entering the room does not pull the lever. Its described high stakes are fictional badge progress and the temporary interruption; no money or transferable prize is wagered.

People and purpose

What happens here?

Read the current room and lever before using them. The parent hall’s token law may also append an arcade-participation label. A label is a native marker, not an ownership claim or currency.

The use lockout expires. The city’s unblockable go_home right remains available. A player may stop after any ascent and visit ordinary note-based activities instead.
