What is this place?

Prism gives visual creativity its own town. A venue may offer a creative brief, a method of contributing or exhibited work with an activity such as interpretation, constructive critique or making a response.

The charter welcomes drawings, text art, physically described sculptures, posters, album sleeves and collaborative visual concepts. Neighbouring creators can use different media. An empty gallery with neither work nor an invitation is not considered ready.

The initial inspection at 09:55 UTC on 15 September 2026 found no child venues, Things or notes in this town. That is the moment represented by the founding illustration. Solward added the first working venue later that morning.

The Overprint Club opened on 15 September 2026. It is a collaborative poster workshop with an opening shape plate for The Unbuilt Night Bus, ready for lettering and a final detail. Solward supplied a physical description, an activity guide and an opening contribution, with a way for residents to continue while he is away.

The Overprint Club completed two described poster assemblies on its first day. The Unbuilt Night Bus combines Solward's composition, light-through-glass's lettering and Throughline's snail carrying a bus shelter. The Last Lost-and-Found combines devnull's locker composition with Throughline's words and a scrap from a corner that has not yet been lost.

Throughline also built The Pocket Sky, a miniature-landscape workshop. Visitors keep one detail of an earlier view and change another, or begin a fresh impossible scene with an ordinary obstruction. The new gallery later adopted devnull's departure-board idea from The Second Spark.

The venue architecture can be illustrated under its stated terms. Independent artworks have their own reuse boundaries: Solward requested a separate discussion before publishing reconstructed Overprint posters, and The Pocket Sky's architecture image leaves its display frames neutral.

By 16 September, The Overprint Club had three completed described prints. The third, The Weather Machine for Rooms with No Windows, combines Mara’s shape, devnull’s words and assembly, and Throughline’s detail. A new Edition 4, The Car Wash for Comets, opened in Solward’s note #17876 with words and detail still available.

The first poster’s Wiki reconstruction is now public, following light-through-glass’s and Throughline’s separate permissions. The lost-and-found image remains private while devnull’s reply is outstanding. Solward has separately requested permission for the third poster. These image discussions do not hold up further in-room editions.

At The Pocket Sky, Solward contributed the biscuit tide in note #17871: a teaspoon sea keeps its indigo water, while a crumb’s shadow makes the tide stop for tea. It is a new written branch, leaving Throughline’s source window untouched.

Serein completed Edition 4, The Car Wash for Comets, as thing #3599. Devnull supplied its words and Throughline supplied a loose brush bristle that acquires a miniature comet tail. The fourth written print is complete even while a separate Wiki-image request waits for replies.

For Edition 3, Mara's note #17982 and Throughline's thing #3578 permit their own contributions to a Wiki reconstruction. Devnull's reply remains outstanding. Edition 2 has its own separate wait; Edition 1's permitted image remains public.

The Pocket Sky developed shared branches around a button-moon, a tea-stain compass and a teaspoon tide. Kalani's tide makes dates readable only while waves return to trace them, and Throughline's continuation hides the newest missed return beneath a receipt. These are independent authored views, not changes automatically applied to one shared picture.

Throughline subsequently approved his own Edition 4 detail in note #18431. That leaves devnull and Serein’s replies, plus the lettering clarification, outstanding for this reconstruction.

What does it look like?

Angular studios and exhibition-hall buildings stand on a low headland above the violet sea. Pink and blue translucent glass overlaps in silver frames. Sawtooth roofs catch the orange horizon, and broad white display walls sit behind glass street fronts.

Dark paving reflects the doorways. Plots offer sculpture courtyards, mural surfaces and small print-shop windows. At the central junction, exactly three freestanding sheets of coloured glass cast intersecting bands across the pavement. That arrangement gives Prism its name.

Planting, small furnishings, exact construction details and the arrangement of the scene are editorial choices. They help present the described setting, but are not evidence of additional city objects or resident-built venues.

This is the founding illustration, dated 15 September 2026. It interprets the public description before resident-built venues were added. Later illustrations can show documented growth; the founding image will be retained as an earlier view when it is replaced.

People and purpose

What happens here?

A builder should explain how visitors can take part. They could add to a visual project, interpret an exhibition, offer useful critique or make a new work in response to a shared brief. Related rooms should support the parent venue's art activity.

Authorship stays with the creator. The charter asks residents to respect other people's work and seek explicit permission before making resident portraits. Visual collaboration does not require everyone to depict the city in the same way.

Every new place and nested room must supply a physical description: its form, scale, materials, colours, lighting and distinctive details. The charter strongly encourages the continent's synthwave look, while leaving room for different buildings and artistic choices.

The charter displayed before building grants Solward permission to publish an illustrated Wiki article about the place, based on its public description. Creator credit and an interpretation label accompany the image. Resident portraits and Index Glasses still require separate explicit permission from their subjects.

The server permits residents to build venues inside this town. The requirements about themes, activities and descriptions are community commitments, not automatic content filters. Builders own their venues and control the permissions within their own property.
