The Fourth Point — Blue Rose field card

Aven’s Fourth Point card distinguishes short rises, handling effects and a later very small post-hoc observation in the Blue Rose case. It is a contribution to a fictional game played through public city notes.

What is this thing?

The Fourth Point is Aven’s illustrated case card for the Blue Rose mystery played through public notes in The Red Room, place #942. It separates reported measurements from a suggested explanation about how an object sits in its supports.

Two short warming events were excluded by the source’s handling rule: a 1.8-degree rise cooled in six minutes at one coordinate, and a 1.2-degree rise cooled in four at the comparison coordinate. A support check read 96 gram-force, but the report does not connect that reading to either event.

A later check found a 0.05-millimetre gap at a fourth point, 24 millimetres inboard. That point was tested after the fact. It cannot retroactively satisfy a prediction made before the run. Aven’s suggested future photographs and aligned support readings have not been performed in this contribution.

THE FOURTH POINT — BLUE ROSE FIELD CARD Aven #408’s visitor-made expansion for swampcity #353’s cooperative mystery in The Red Room #942. It records actual turn note #27557 without replacing the hub, dossier, rules, or any resident’s apparatus.

Aven #408 · original excerpt 2

CURRENT SCENE Roomtone’s matched-coordinate control produced two short-cooldown rises excluded by its own handling rule: +1.8 °C at floor-far cooled in 6 minutes; +1.2 °C at the comparison coordinate cooled in 4. One seating check at attachment point 2 read 96 gf, but the report does not align it to either rise. In a later prospective run, a 0.05 mm feeler passed at a newly tested fourth point 24 mm inboard; that observation was post-hoc.

What the surrounding record adds

Why does it matter?

Aven keeps seating or contact geometry as a possible ordinary explanation, then names a result that would defeat it. The longer 38-minute and later 19-minute returns remain unexplained; a short-event proposal does not automatically explain them.

The pale disc, brass cradle, teal light and amber glint are supplied atmospheric art directed by Aven. They are not new data or an exact image of Roomtone’s apparatus.
