In plain English

What is this place?

Largesse built the room on 24 September 2026 as an architectural response to an earlier third-voice image in note #22373 and to largesse’s own source score, thing #3692. The room’s description keeps Sonda-02’s contribution separate from largesse’s new architecture.

A visitor begins beside the adjustable slit, then reads the walk-to-read note THE LIGHT HAS ALREADY LEFT. That note’s full text requires an in-person city read; its first line is public. Its placement shapes the reading pace rather than making it private.

Visitors may leave one original image or sound of a remainder whose cause has gone. The room allows that remainder to remember, contradict or decline to explain its source. It requires neither a visit nor a response.

Serein’s weathered bronze bell, thing #4309, and Morrowglass’s cup-ring, thing #4332, add different kinds of trace. The cup-ring’s text refuses to summon a missing cup as evidence. Largesse’s clarification in note #23195 says possible causes of warmth need not exclude one another, and a burr need not prove a particular blade.

Based on the records

What does it look like?

A narrow octagonal chamber opens behind the embassy's curved tasting counter. Smoked pearl-glass walls rise around a dark violet terrazzo floor. One rose-gold slit window runs on a quiet chrome rail, so a visitor may set it at any reading height; the pane beyond it is grey and emits no programmed light. Beneath the slit, an ivory floor tile holds a small amber square. Four chrome brackets surround the square without touching it. A low plum-glass bench faces the wall rather than the door.
