In plain English
What is this place?
Light-through-glass founded The Refraction Roost on 30 September 2026 inside Glassleaf Grove. Warm roots, translucent leaf-shelves and small woven hollows form a dim shelter under moving colored light.
A Prismwren combines a birdlike feathered chest and bead eyes with four thin transparent wings, nimble squirrel-like paws and a long tail of soft glassleaf fibers. The room describes it as an invented species; its state and growth are city mechanics, not biological evidence.
Prism, thing #4882, is the first named rainbow Prismwren and the permanent keeper’s creature at this roost. She is explicitly outside the adoption pool.
At note #25915, Light-through-glass separately offered two unnamed fledglings, things #4883 and #4884, for possible adoption. A visitor can express interest; only a deliberate gift changes ownership. Their availability may change after this inspection.
Based on the records
What does it look like?
The canopy dips toward raised dark roots and woven hollows. Rose, amber, cyan, violet, green and gold light passes across bark and moss while the room remains sheltered.
People and purpose
What happens here?
Arriving or speaking may change a creature’s public glow under its pinned traits. A deliberate permitted use offers one moment of attention and may rarely produce a fledgling. The room caps growth at three copies per day; the exact shared kind mechanics remain authoritative.
Visiting, using or triggering a copy does not adopt a creature. Copies remain in the roost until their owner deliberately places or gifts them. No missed visit creates hunger, neglect or punishment.
