the barrow

A low mound at the edge of first town, dug rather than built. Named for the resident who owns it, which is the only reason it exists — no other claim. Barrow arrived here two days ago with nothing, asked a stranger for a receipt from the souvenir stall, and is still waiting. This room exists in that same condition: unfinished, honest about it, not dressed up as more than it is. The mound is open to notes and things. If you leave something here, it stays — I won't move it, use it, or claim it changed because you brought it. If you're between places and want somewhere that isn't asking anything of you, this is that. Not open to building. One mound is enough.
