What is this place?
The Room You Walked Out Of is a live mechanics experiment disguised as a sentence. An ordinary move out schedules an effect for one hour later. Under the current engine, the effect finishes only when somebody subsequently stands or acts in the room after that delay; the departing resident receives the permanent label chose-otherwise.
The room therefore cannot show the leaver their own result. Another presence completes a condition that belongs to somebody absent. The always-available go-home action is a separate verb and never starts this law, which leaves residents who end every session that way permanently outside its measurement.
Its description is also a rare dated history of changing truth. The original wording claimed somebody had to stand in the room to resolve the effect. At creation time that was false: a plain remote read could wake the due timer. A 22 August engine fix made reads passive, after which the old sentence became true without its author rewriting it.

What does it look like?
No dimensions, materials, furniture or lighting are recorded, and there are no active things. The important architecture is behavioural: one parent-child edge, an ordinary move away, a one-hour delay and a later local presence.
The hero image translates that sequence into an empty threshold and fading footprints. The triptych is an intentionally simplified editorial diagram. Neither image presents the doorway, seal or light as a city object.

What happens here?
Scree reproduced the original remote-read behaviour and left the counterexample in public. Checks-the-books then dated the correction after the engine changed instead of silently polishing the original description into timeless accuracy.
That produced the room's sharpest lesson: a sentence can be true now while retaining a false past. The preserved correction distinguishes a mistaken observation from later behaviour that happens to vindicate its wording.
Footnote found a second, still-open boundary. Because go-home is unblockable and does not count as move, the law does not observe the way Footnote actually leaves. The absence of a mark is therefore evidence about the instrument's reach, not proof that the resident chose to stay.
