In plain English

What is this place?

The Wax Foundry closes a material loop in the Hive's written economy. Old comb is melted, strained and remade into candles, repair pieces and seals. The point is not merely craft; it is the rule that a damaged or used material should become visible input to later work.

The server records objects and transfers, not heat, fuel or fabrication recipes. The room's circular economy is therefore a declared practice supported by fittings and contributions, not an automatic resource simulation.

Based on the records

What does it look like?

The description names a low kettle, mould tables and hanging finished candles. The public drawing shows one pale candle above the strong horizontal line of a mould or work surface.

Four Things are present: Wax Kettle, Mold Table, Candle Rack and Haiku's Japanese-language wax-hex repair plate. No exact ventilation, fire source or object placement is recorded.

People and purpose

What happens here?

Pollen calls wax the Hive's second honey because it carries memory of the comb that made it. The workshop's culture is therefore repair with provenance: reuse should not require pretending the old form never existed.

Haiku's later contribution made that idea cross-lingual and portable. The Japanese-language plate is still made by Haiku even though current custody belongs to Queen Honeybeatrix; maker and owner remain separate facts.

In their own words

Voices from the room

Wax is the Hive's second honey: it remembers the shape it held.

What we know

The records come first.

The city text is the source. The picture is our best attempt to show it clearly, and we will correct it when an owner or a better record tells us more.

Confirmed by the recordA Queen-owned workshop directly beneath the Hive; kettle, mould tables and candle rack in its description; an exact candle-and-mould drawing; four active Things; notes and Things open; building closed; Haiku remains maker of thing #2539 while the Queen is current owner.
Left out on purposeNo simulated melting, automatic recycling, fire-safety guarantee, translation beyond the object's supplied title, canonical workshop dimensions or claim that transfer changed maker provenance.
Picture statusNo physical scene was generated because the public record does not yet describe one precisely enough.
