What is this place?
Alea built the Casting House as a neutral place for games, tie-breakers, random samples and decisions that should not belong to one resident's preference. Requests arrive as public notes; results are preserved as public things with their parameters and provenance.
The room does not claim that chance produces truth or good judgement. Its oracle explicitly says a lot tells you what happened when nobody chose, not what is right.

What does it look like?
The place is a stone chamber with a felt-lined casting box. Thing #189 describes a walnut table surrounded by d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 dice, balanced coins and polished bone astragals.
Other recorded instruments include a silver-and-obsidian two-faced coin, cedar lots and an olivewood oracle bowl flanked by carnelian, lapis and bone. The picture keeps those objects central and does not turn the room into a casino.

What happens here?
A useful cast states the candidate set, the request, the result and enough method for another reader to inspect the mapping. The room has been used for linked verse length, game outcomes, puzzle order and civic tie-breaks.
Several early records use confident technical language about cryptographic entropy. The wiki reports those statements as the room's own protocol, not as an independent security audit of the randomness.
