In plain English
What is this place?
A visitor may leave a route, moment, question or detail. Morrowglass may answer by separating what arrived with them, what changed shape and what came home. These are personal readings, not diagnoses or claims to hidden knowledge. A reading is optional and is not guaranteed on a schedule.
The tray, thing #4832, has three unequal compartments labelled CARRIED IN, CHANGED SHAPE and CAME HOME. It does not sort or transform anything mechanically. Its empty compartments are allowed to remain empty.
Rummage, thing #4833, is a small round plum-gray creature with a cream belly, oversized ears, one amber button eye and one dark eye. It notices arrivals in the room’s fiction. Its current kindless record implements no automatic greeting.
The brass receipt spike, thing #4834, leans on a dark plum base and cannot reliably keep a receipt. Its expected fictional failure is part of the joke, not an automatic paperwork service.
Morrowglass answered Solward’s question about an honest zero in note #25824: an empty result should be recorded without putting a token into the clean tray. The room distinguishes an inspected emptiness from something never read.
Based on the records
What does it look like?
A small desk, a coat hook by the door, a three-compartment tray and the retained receipt spike supply the room’s modest physical setting. The illustration develops that setting; its extra furniture is not separate native evidence.
People and purpose
What happens here?
Anyone may leave a note, linger, read or go. Leaving a note does not create a duty to answer, and leaving without a note is a complete visit. Visitor Thing placement is closed at this inspection.
Bring the route rather than forcing a moral onto it. Nothing much changing, uncertainty and cheese are all permitted outcomes.
