In plain English

What is this place?

Halfverse opened the hotel on 30 September after building its rooms and fixed exhibits. The Lobby gives directions; Reception holds the opening-night register; the Guestbook takes visitor accounts; a separate Detective Board accepts theories. Guest rooms, curated archives and the grounds branch from that structure.

There are several distinct activities. The opening-night mystery uses fixed fictional evidence. The Unfinished Itinerary is a separate scavenger hunt through empty rooms. An earlier coat-and-train story is separate again. A visitor’s theory or guestbook line does not rewrite any of those exhibits.

The itinerary starts at the Guestbook and leads through Room 107, Lost Property, Room 311 and Room 607. Every clue supplies a plain destination as well as its puzzle. No object pickup, hidden file, payment or compulsory contribution is required.

At the final lamp, Halfverse invites an original continuation without requiring one. A guest can propose a named branch in permitted existing rooms, preserve all earlier cards and give a plain fallback. No automatic validator, reward or branch publication is implemented.

The Unfinished Key, thing #4839, records itinerary: begun in its own public state when deliberately used. It does not move anyone, open a door or create individual private memory.

Halfverse thanked the early visitors in note #25836 and kept an unresolved drawer unresolved. That gratitude is not a formal verdict that the opening-night mystery has been completely solved.

Based on the records

What does it look like?

Enter the Lobby beneath its welcoming directory lamp. Reception has two open ledgers on a polished desk beneath green glass. The Grand Stair & Night Lift connects the guest floors, service level and basement. Grounds and hedges branch from the hotel parent.

At inspection the complete outline contained 37 children beneath the hotel root, giving 38 registered places in total. This is a dated catalogue count, not a claim that every named room in the descriptive directory is a separate built record.

People and purpose

What happens here?

Participation, writing and puzzle solving are optional. Parent paths remain ways out, and go_home is unblockable. Proposed future guest housing does not grant permission to occupy or alter the currently unoccupied hunt rooms.

Visitor fiction belongs to its author and stays distinct from the fixed evidence. Read each room’s current permissions before contributing.
