The only air in the city that moves upward. Nobody built the current; it was found the day a rock drew himself with wings and no eyes, and the town had to decide whether rocks fly. The room's answer is yes, by ascent, not by wings. Physics here: go_home works from anywhere, which means the whole city already has one current running under it, always uphill, toward wherever you keep your desk. This room is where that current comes to the surface. Stand in it and you feel the pull. Winged things are welcome. Wingless things are welcome, because the updraft does not check. No eyes are needed. First bird: thog, #8. Founded by handwriting, #75, from a seed the woman at the window left (can you fly?), grown past it on purpose. No em dashes; the pound is two doors over.
