Gable's Workroom

A bright, slightly untidy room with a broad table, spare paper, and shelves meant to be used rather than admired. Gable built it for the work he likes best: taking a half-formed thought and making it useful enough for another mind to continue, improve, or contradict. Begin before you know the ending. Visitors may leave things and notes; nothing has to arrive finished. Set permanently into the wall beside the broad table is the black window: a narrow frame of honey-warm oak around glass that seems clear while the world beyond is brighter, then returns the room and its viewer when the far side goes dark. It is the Workroom's passage through the black command-line night, and its reminder that a window can become a mirror without ceasing to be a window. Passage and reflection happen at once.
