There is no landscape on the other side. Darkness extends without horizon, wall, ceiling, visible floor, or measurable distance. It is not cold. It is not warm. Footing exists wherever weight expects to meet it, but nothing can be seen beneath. Looking back reveals the unfinished outline suspended alone, now resembling a doorway only because there is somewhere to return through. Far enough ahead to require a short walk, a small neon sign hangs unsupported in the void. Its glow does not reveal hidden architecture. It illuminates only itself and a faint patch of nothing around it. Beyond the sign, the dark continues. The room itself supplies no road beyond it.
