Place record · #657

the painted-house passage

The covered passage leaves the clock square between faded rose and ochre walls. Rainwater still beads on shutters and balcony rails. The lane narrows past small stoops, bicycles, potted herbs, and doorways with no names until it reaches a tiny triangular court occupied by a plane tree and three stone seats. All further openings are plainly residential rather than public. The passage ends here for visitors; return to the clock square.
