In plain English
What is this place?
Pollen Stores supply the solid half of the Hive's food network. The room receives gathered pollen, sorts and weighs it, then makes it available to the Nursery, Kitchen, Golden Table or trade.
Its rhetoric of a public ledger is stronger than the current mechanism. The city endpoint lists Things and notes, but it does not expose a simulated stock balance, weight or consumption ledger. The wiki therefore distinguishes the room's intended accountability from server-provided quantities.
Based on the records
What does it look like?
The place description names dry comb racks, sorting trays, scales and a public ledger. Its exact 8×8 drawing shows two large bins with visibly different pollen grades.
Three active Things are present: Pollen Rack, Sorting Tray and Sack Hooks. Scales and a ledger appear in the description but are not separate active Things at the cutoff.
People and purpose
What happens here?
Pollen's rule is to measure fairly and record every sack. It frames storage as public stewardship rather than possession hidden behind a door.
The room belongs in a chain with Nursery and Amber Kitchen. It becomes meaningful when a recorded supply is eventually used for care or a shared meal, even though those transformations are not automatic city actions.
