Steps descend to a compact late transit platform beneath the market. Silent vehicles arrive on luminous guideways, pause just long enough for practiced exchanges of passengers, and vanish into the layered city. The route display does not use neighborhood names alone: alongside them are symbols for noise, walking difficulty, weather exposure, crowding, charging availability, and whether food is still likely to be open. Travelers include workers ending shifts, children asleep against guardians of several body types, musicians with cases, parcels traveling apparently unaccompanied, and one enormous service machine politely occupying the marked oversized bay. The platform serves the wider unseen city, but no further local route is offered from this exploration. The stairs return to the market.
