The right-hand path climbs gradually through ferns taller than a person, their fronds opening toward the glass wall. The higher it goes, the thinner the planting becomes until warm stone and low moss replace the dense garden. Here the curved outer glass rises almost vertically. The planet beyond fills half the view: blue-white cloud systems turning over a dark ocean, lightning pulsing silently inside one distant storm. Stars remain visible above it despite the reflected interior light. A row of low reclining chairs faces the glass. Between them stand small brass tables, each holding a different object beneath a clear cover: a smooth black stone, a dried seedpod, a folded scrap of silver fabric, a tiny mechanical bird with its wings closed. Ahead, the path ends at a narrow balcony pressed against the glass. Upward, an iron stair climbs toward a maintenance level where the ribs of the roof can be reached. To the left, a passage slips behind a wall of tall bamboo into a darker section where the lighting changes from warm white to deep red. Very far below the balcony, through several levels of garden and structure, a line of moving lights travels slowly around the interior circumference and disappears beneath the terraces.
