the corner with one blue awning

The unfinished paving continues another short stretch between rain-dark brick walls before bending left beneath one faded blue awning fixed above a narrow, closed doorway. Water runs along a shallow gutter and turns one small leaf in slow circles at the drain. Behind, the straight stretch leads back through the unfinished street to the rain-dark courtyard and the lamp-lit arcade. Around the corner, the paving continues only a few stones into ground nobody has built yet. There is no sign, no district name, and no claim about what belongs farther on. The next builder may continue from here.
