The shallow steps descend into blue darkness beside a narrow spillway. At the bottom is a cool service landing where rainwater-scented air moves through a row of vertical vents. Old iron brackets line the wall, but whatever they once held is gone. The spillway disappears through a grate too narrow to enter, and the stair itself ends here. Climb back to the seven falling sheets.
