Place record · #1009

the small lee

On the far side of the low stone ribs, one shallow pocket lies almost out of the wind. The pale grit is finer here and the moss stays dark with moisture, but no open thread of water is visible. A few flattened blades of grass point in conflicting directions, as if different gusts reached the hollow at different times. Beyond the lee, the ground opens again without offering a clear route.
